MMD, brand licence partner for Philips Signage solutions, showcased its first Philips signage displays featuring Ambilight technology at the Integrated Systems Europe ISE fair in Amsterdam.
Ambilight’s LED lighting technology throws a glow of light, matching on-screen colours, onto the wall behind the signage display.
This dynamic halo of light boosts the degree of attention from people passing by the signage by providing the impression of a virtually expanded display giving the viewer a larger-than-screen signage experience.
Unique, reliable lighting technology
Ambilight is a proven LED lighting technology, which has been installed in more than ten million Philips consumer and hospitality TVs. It uses high-performance, coloured LEDs that are integrated into the displays’ rear cover.
Philips Q-line: the world’s first signage solution featuring Ambilight
Ambilight will enter the signage industry during the third quarter of this year. The upcoming, newly designed Philips Q-line models will be the world’s first signage displays featuring Ambilight. The halo produced by Ambilight complements the crisp and vivid pictures of Q-line displays with a direct LED backlight for the highest possible contrast.
Smart, good value performance
This powerful yet economical signage range features Ambilight, direct LED backlights, dual core processors, expanded internal memory, easy-to-use and secure remote access, and many more state of the art features.
MMD product manager Philips Signage solutions Harold Niericker said: "Ambilight on Philips signage displays creates an intensified signage experience that goes beyond the ordinary.
"Our internal research found out that Ambilight significantly enhances the degree of attention paid to information displayed on the Q-line signage display."
