Dubai-based travel-tech startup Lokalee has raised $5.6m in pre-series A funding, marking a significant milestone in the company’s growth.
Lokalee is a travel and lifestyle mobile application and AI-driven content platform tailored for hotels and holiday homes. By analysing guest behaviours, Lokalee can provide hyper-personalised recommendations to the user based on their geo-location, purpose of visit, available time and personal preferences.
Investment details and strategic backing
Crown Private Fund spearheaded the funding round, with participation from three additional strategic investors with a strong background in both hotel management and technology.
This infusion of capital aligns with Lokalee’s robust growth strategy, driving accelerated product development and paving the way for the platform’s expansion into European markets.

The company has a user base of 250 hotels in 20 countries. With recent expansions into Austria, Germany and Saudi Arabia, and with many others in the MENA [Middle East and North Africa] region and Europe in the pipeline, Lokalee is poised for continued success.
Lokalee’s platform has already left its mark on leading hotel groups, including Hilton, Millennium, Movenpick, Rotana, Sheraton and Sofitel.
Immediate development plans include the introduction of a cutting-edge trip planner, merging AI technology with human-curated data to offer users an unparalleled synthesis of innovation and personalised insights.
